Asin Thottumkal, known selflessly as Asin, is an Indian movie actress who mainly appears in Bollywood and Tamil films. Asin is a receiver of the important Kalaimamani award as of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu intended for her imbursement to art and text. Making her performing arts debut in Sathyan Anthikkad’s Malayalam movie Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin have her first profitable success by means of the Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003, and win a Film fare Best Telugu Actress prize for the movie.
